How to Setup Equipment as Stock Items

If you are just setting up the system and wish to put on your Stock items, then ensure that the setting ‘Allow Equip Status Change to Stock’ is set to ‘Yes’ in System > Settings.

Note: This setting should be changed back to ‘No’ once all the relevant Stock pieces of equipment have been entered.

Then, after creating the Equipment records, simply drop down the ‘Status’ list and select ‘Stock’. You will be asked to confirm the change of Status. Click Yes.

If however, you wish to record the purchase of a new (or second hand) Equipment item into your stock then leave the status at Entry and raise a Purchase Order to purchase this in. On booking in the order, the status will update to ‘Stock’ automatically.
