What are Sales Opportunity Status’ for?
Sales Opportunities allow you to record a contact with a Customer or Prospect that may result in a sale. As part of this function you can keep track of the Status of the Opportunity using the Sales Opportunity Status’. There are user-definable fields (except for the in-built status’: Cancelled, Lost and Won) and allow you to have as many intermediate stages as you wish.
For example, you could have a set up like:
- Cancelled
- Requirement Confirmed
- Demo Arranged
- Quote Sent
- Meeting
- Shortlisted
- Decision Expected
- Verbal Order
- Written Order
- Lost
- Closed
- Won
In this way via Global Enquiry and CRM reports, you can track and manage potential sales through from the initial contact to closure in as detailed or generalised was as you so choose.
