Where Can I use Activity Types?

Activities allow you to account for every minute of an Engineer’s day. They essentially represent time they spend NOT on Jobs. For example, Workshop Duties, Doctors Appointments and so on. There are 3 main areas of the system where Activities can be created to account for Engineer’s time.

1. Engineer Plannerboard
• On the Plannerboard simply drag a box in the timeslot for the Engineer you wish to add the Activity to. A box appears allowing you to select the Activity Type and add extra notes. On clicking OK the Activity is added to the Plannerboard using the colour already selected for this type.

2. Engineer PDA Timesheet Entry

At the end of each day the Engineer can complete a Timesheet on the PDA. Any Jobs the Engineer has done will be added automatically as will any Activities added by the office. The Engineer can also add Activities on the PDA to ‘fill the gaps’ between Jobs.

3. Timesheet Entry in office system

As with the PDA, any Activities already added via the Plannerboard or by the Engineer on the PDA appear on the Timesheet automatically. Further Activities can be added by the office user as required.
