How do I add attachments to a Supplier record?

It is possible to save attachments to Supplier records that relate to this specific supplier. To do this first you will need to make note of where the files need to be saved. Go to:

System > Settings

  • Find the setting ‘Files Directory – Suppliers’ and make note of the file path set against it
  • If one has not been set, you will need to set a shared location that is accessible to all Protean users (usually a network file location)
  • Head to this file place in Windows Files Explorer
  • Within this file location create a new folder, setting the customer ‘Alpha’ as the name of the folder
  • Within this folder, save any attachments relevant to this supplier
  • Returning to Protean now, you will be able to access these files from the supplier record by clicking the ‘Links’ button on the record, and then ‘Files’
