How can I check the state of my data?
Ensure that all users have logged out of Protean and that you have no forms open within Protean.
- Then go to File➔ Data integrity checker
- By default, the record link checker is selected to run as well as the data integrity check. If you do not want the record link to be checked, you can untick this option. If you now click on Start checking, this will start the procedure for you
- At any time, you can click the Stop Checking button if you wish to abort the Data Check with no adverse effects on your data. If the check hits a problem with the data, an error message will appear.
- If the Data Check completes you will be informed by the system that the data has no issues. You can also click on the View report option, which will detail any issues that the integrity checker has found.
Can I print off a list of problems with my data?
- To view the report of the last data integrity check, you can go to File ➔ Data Integrity Checker and click on View Report. This will show you any issues that were found with the data
