Adding attachments to jobs is a simple way to keep reference files relating to a job accessible. Once linked to the job, they can be referred to by both office staff and mobile engineers on their respective devices.
To add an attachment to a job, simply click the […] button on the ‘Attachments’ option of the job screen under ‘Reference’. Thereafter, you will be prompted with a file attachment window where you can select files to add to the job. Though files from anywhere on your PC, it is best to ensure the files are saved/attached from a location that is accessible to all Protean users.
The setting that determines where files are accessible are found in Config > General > Settings: ‘Attached files directory’. It is best save files here before attaching them to jobs so they are accessible for all Protean users should they be required to do so.
