How do I Add a Part to a Job from an Engineer’s Van Stock?

To add a part to a job from an Engineer Van you will need to:

  • On the relevant job, ensure there is a labour visit for the engineer whose van has the stock you are looking to allocate
  • On the labour visit hit the ‘Parts’ button – this will take you to the parts and assign parts to this labour visit

Alternatively, you can follow the below steps:

  • On the parts tab, add the part you wish to allocate
  • On the Visit drop down next to each Part line, assign this part to the visit for the relevant engineer
  • Enter the quantities, selling prices and discount fields
  • When all the relevant parts have been added to the job, click the ‘Process’ button
  • This will utilise the parts on the engineers Van stock – the ‘QtyOS’ (Quantity Outstanding) should then go to 0 to reflect that the parts have been allocated
  • If there was insufficient stock to fulfil all quantities, it will book out what is available and notify that the full amount could only be ‘Part Allocated’ – the ‘QtyOS’ will reflect this
