Period Not Found

Protean operates in time periods in the same way as any accounting system. As such, if you ever come across the message that reads:

“Period not found for DD/MM/YYY”

This is because the financial period for the transaction you are creating e.g. a Job visit, does not exist.

You don’t necessarily need to be working in this period as future transactions are possible in Protean, but you will need to add a new Period. To add a new Period go to:

Config > Accounts > Periods

Click ‘Add Next’. You may need to repeat this process depending on how far in the future the transaction date is. Keep going until the period date satisfied the transaction. Once added, this message can be bypassed.
